[miniaturerockgardens] Re: Plastic troughs?

From: Diana Pederson <plant@toast.net>

I tried coating plastic with hypertufa and thought it
had worked. However, after sitting out this winter,
the hypertufa decided to fall completely off the
plastic!

Am afraid the same thing will happen with styrofoam but
your comment reminds me of something I saw in the NARGS
Journal. If I am remembering right, someone in japan
growing primroses painted styrofoam grape containers
(or something like that). Think I will make a trip to
a "farmer's market" type store here and see if I can
find some low styrofoam shipping containers which could
be painted.

Thanks for mentioning the styrofoam--triggered a
memory!
