Hi Diana,
an alternative to troughs made of hypertufa is to cover a styrofoam box or a
plastic container with hypertufa. The mix is the same. Paint on the
outside and inside down about an inch or so with a cement bonder. Let that
dry and then apply the hypertufa about 1/4-1/2 inch thick. The weight will
be reduced, but keep in mind that most of the weight comes from the soil and
rocks.
