I used hypertufa on a plastic container but not
rubber.  Wonder what tires are made out of now
days?  Any chemists available here to answer this
question of it sticking to the tire?

They do use hypertufa on old glazed sinks by
coating the sink with a special adhesive first. 
Might that work on tires?
