Re: [miniaturerockgardens] Publicity

Hi Diana

This is a letter which I propose sending out to my Alpine Garden Update Club
members. Will you please give it a look over and tell me if you are happy
with it. If you want to amend or add anything that I may have missed, then
please feel free to do so.

Also I've revamped the logo for the discussion group. I did the original in
a bit of a rush. I think this one looks much better. If you can find a use
for it, I'd be pleased for you to have it. See attachment.
Best Regards
Alan

Hi Everyone,
Pressure of almost everything means that there's not much to report by way
of new additions to TAG this month but I have some more book reviews
scheduled over the next couple of weeks.

The intention of this posting, is to make you aware, if you are not already,
of a discussion group which was set up by Diana Pederson entitled "Miniature
Rock Gardens". I realise that some of you are already members but as my
update club includes quite a number of friends who are not subscribed to
Alpine-L and other such groups, I thought it the best forum to use to make
everyone aware of its existence.

The scope of the group is far wider reaching than the troughs one normally
associates with miniature rock gardening and she is appealing for more
members to put forward their ideas of suitable ways and suitable
environments for growing our beloved alpines, especially for those amongst
our numbers who may have some form of physical disability. Who amongst us
has not found that things were easier 10 years ago and as a result have
designed our garden to eliminate the more difficult tasks? What have you
'invented' that could be passed on to others? What plants do you recommend
for low maintenance?

If you would like to participate in this group, why not click on the
following URL and subscribe to what, in my opinion, is a very worthwhile
group.

I am sure Diana will look forward to hearing from you.

On a more general note, could I just suggest to my friends in Alaska that
as much as I love you all, I would prefer it if you would not send your
weather over to England in what is supposed to be our summer *LOL*

And for those of you who are enjoying good weather.......don't forget to
water your plants.

Talk soon
Alan
