I am totally amazed that here in NE Nebraska, Zone 4, there are new shoots on
many of the roses as long as 4 & 5 inches in early April. What an amazing
season this could turn out to be if we don't have a late cold snap! I haven't
uncovered crowns yet and this growth is either above the mulch or coming
straight through it! The dilema is how much cover should I remove this early
in the season.
