I'm here! Okay, I'll stir the pot, so to speak...
Anyone have experience rooting rose cuttings? How long does it typically
take? I'd like to take part in some rose cutting swaps this summer. Do
you have a favorite method? How long should I figure on, and how big
should cuttings be?
Also, what roses are on your wish list this season? I'd like Country
Dancer (or a relative, there are so many in the series) for the HT look
and the hardiness, plus I've heard so many glowing reviews of it. I'd
like a 7 sisters climbing rose for sentimental reasons (I'm part of a
group of 7 high school friends who have stayed in touch over the years
and take vacations together & such, and would love to give one to each of
us to plant in her garden--though it's not technically happy north of
zone 5). The Fairy is a must. I'd love some Mordens, too. I'd also
like to propogate my Therese Bugnet for other parts of the yard because
she's such an amazing rose. Another goal is to fill in the rose gardens
with more perennials and annuals. Any suggestions? I have irises in
there and some scattered campanula, but it's awfully bare.
Alicia, zone 4
