We had a beautiful day here (FINALLY) in the PNW and I noticed a couple of
my roses were looking puny. The new growth had shriveled and died. And the
first one I looked at seem +ACI-loose+ACI- in the ground so I pulled at it and out
it came. It looked like a minature beaver had nawed its roots off-all that
was left was about an inch of stem underground. In looking at the rest of
the row there were 5 more like that in various stages of being chewed off.
Under each was a large mole? ? hole. I am trying to save them by potting
them up and putting them in the greenhouse for TLC. Any ideas what's doing
it and how to stop them? Thanks for any ideas.
