Hi!
Yes, I tried citrus peels and it did not lower the ph. I tried cider
vinegar and that really did not work either. I used aluminum sulfate
and that lowered it. I used a very small amount at a time to be sure I
didn't lower it too much. Seems it took about half a dozen treatments.
I had soil with serious alkaline problems so I had to work harder than
most to correct it. I never did get it down to what I wanted it to be
but it was something I could live with. Check with your extension agent
for instructions regarding mixing and applying.
