i think your roses are ahead of most of us.  i'm in central Illinois, most
of us
are coddling tomatoes we started ourselves or scratching our heads in
the garden center trying to remember whether we liked 'Early Girl' last
year or not.  I planted my tomatoes in early May one year and they were
slow getting going.  Now I'm patient and wait til  later in the month.

Spring is great with everything starting fresh again and plants i
forgot about poking their little heads and arms up thru the soil.
