Re: Life expectancy of roses



This is my first year growing roses and I love them!  I have had a run-in
with aphids, next year I plan to be more diligent with a systemic.

Under good conditions, what is the life expectancy of roses?  I live in a
mild but wet & windy SE Alaska, and someone told me they could only get
their roses to live a for few years.  I plan to mound about a foot of soil
over them, as was suggested at the rose forum.  Can I plan to have them
longer than mentioned before?
