'Yolande d'Aragon' is a wonderful rose. One of my favorites.
For a repeater, you might want to look into the Hybrid Perpetuals, such as
'Paul Neyron'; a classic "Cabbage Rose" type. David Austin has a slew of
the globular form available, I wouldn't even know where to start. Jayne
Austin has promise of being one of my all time favorites of the type, but
it's been such a dismal, wet Spring (and Summer, for the most part) I've yet
to get one to open properly. This failure to open properly is called
"balling".
Speaking of balling........last year I finally made a pilgramage to
Sangerhausen, in Germany, considered by many to be the best and most
complete rose collection in the world. As my luck would have it they had an
uncommonly wet, dreary Spring. Acres of rare and unusual Old Garden
Roses...all balled.
