Re: quitting Ts

I had very good success with them in the South. Since I've moved to Western
New York, they've not been worth the effort. I started trying other
varieties (English, OGR, species) and have never been happier. Not only has
my idea of what constitues 'beauty' in a Rose bloom changed radically, I'm
positively goofy about the landscaping potential of the different varieties.

Frankly, it's like discovering a whole new plant. While I do respect Hybrid
Tea enthusiasts, the Hybrid Tea is simply not for me anymore.

I have to politely disagree; I've never had more breathtaking blooms than I
have now, nor more incredible fragrance.

I have the original Bonica. Wonderful rose, but I'm happily building a
collection of Hybrid Perpetuals, Bourbons, Albas, English, etc., etc.. I'm
not too concerned about a 'new and improved' Bonica when there's so many
other avenues to go down. 'Bonica' does have a permanent home with me, I
must add.

The list of OGRs available is staggering. Hopefully this list will
encourage you to try more.

Nice hearing from you!
