Sorry, I live in "the South" and the HT's are more beautiful than the
other roses. Their *health* isn't good, but for me it's binary : they
are healthy, or they are dead.

I have to disagree again here: the colours found in the HT, while not
to everyone's taste, are to my taste; and the form is wonderful. I grow
HTs, Floribundas, climbers, English roses, OGRs, you name it. While the
OGRs tend to hang in there health-wise, they are NOT the star
performers, because their bloom season in our hot spring weather is
like, two days or so, really. Then it's plant, plant, plant.
Veilchenblau is taking over the world and needs to be controlled, but
it's a once bloomer. Buff Beauty is another THUG. None of the HTs are
thugs. Fragrant Cloud is one of my best roses, bar none. Rebloom and
rebloom and rebloom.
