Re: Seeking climbing rose with hips recommendation

Dortmund: good climber, good red hips, pretty bunches of single red blooms
with white eye zone and with brown stamens, spring and fall bloom,
fragrance is non existant in the spring, weakly detectable in the fall.
Itis a Kordesii hybrid, so it is very resistant. It has power thorns. I
would not grow a clematis through any rose climber for that reason. But
the combination you describe does sound attractive. Judy Sylvester zone 5
