Botanica Roses - Veni, Vidi, Vendi!

Costco on Senter Street in San Jose, CA has "Botanica Roses" with CDRom
for $27.97. There's a bunch there now, but I bought 5 so move fast. Ed
Wilkinson couldn't find it in Oakland's Costco and it wasn't in the Santa
Clara, CA Costco, so look around.

Bill Grant, one of the contributors, found it in the Santa Cruz store,
bought 7(!) and alerted Ed who tweaked me.

On first glance, it appears to live up to its reputation as the book with
the most roses. I think 5,000. Not every one is illustrated, but there
are 4 - 5 illustrations per page and they are very good. If you've seen
the Botanica Encyclopedia of garden plants, "Roses" is about the same size
and also comes in the same type of carrying case. Haven't checked the CD
yet but it runs on Windows 3.1, 95 and Mac. Supposed to contain the whole
book. Should be a wonderful reference.

Better run, check your Costco/Price Clubs and get it. You won't be sorry!

Regards,

    Mel
