Thank you for the information and your efforts. This Rose sounds pretty
interesting.

NARGS is the North American Rock Garden Society. This year they had 5,545
different varieties of seed in the exchange. The seed exchange itself does
not limit itself to what may be classified as "Rock Garden" or "Alpine"
material. Included are garden flowers (including hybrids), wild collected
seeds, bog plants, woodland plants, on and on. Since many of the seed
collecting expeditions that contribute to the exchange are scientific in
nature, there will frequently be little gems like Rosa amblyotis. An
amazing, wonderful seed exchange that's truly global. I contribute to it
so I have the option of choosing 35 different varieties from the list.
Things that I have growing wild here are considered "rare and unusual"
elsewhere, so we all benefit. Not bad, and it's kept me busy.
