RE: We are here, list gone dormant like the roses


I just happen to be able to answer that question, at least so far as my only
non-remontant rose (once-blooming) and the answer appears to be that in the
first year when I planted my swamp rose (R palustris scandens) it did not
bloom just threw some 5 to 8 foot canes.  I will probably set in some
trellises to train it to lateral growth and wait and see about blooming.

William, If your roses don't really go dormant, do the old once
blooming roses still just bloom just once a year ? or more ?
