Highly scented healthy rose?

It's very nice to see the rose list come to life the past few days.

I'm looking for a deeply scented, disease-resistant rose to plant close
to the street for joggers/dog walkers to enjoy. It's not possible to
put the roses any closer than about 12-15' from the street (drainage
ditch, no sewers) so the scent would have to carry quite a distance.
Generous, repeat bloom would be very nice as well.

Two of our most reputable local (Kansas City) nurseries have told me
quite emphatically that I can not grow healthy roses without spraying.
I tried some anyway. :) These are the only ones I have experience with
so far and they have done very well here with no spraying:
   Morden Blush - floribunda
   Oklahoma - hybrid tea
   The Prince - Austin
   New Dawn - climber

Morden Blush has been in two seasons and the others I put in this
spring. I picked off less than a dozen sets of leaves with black spot
from each rose all season. None of them got powdery mildew, rust or any
other disease. I have ladybugs that seem particularly fond of aphids so
I would not want to comment about how resistant these roses are to
aphid damage.

The flower stems on The Prince are too weak to hold up the bloom well
but I have been told that this is not unusual for newly planted roses.
Personally, I find the slight droop combined with the heavy bloom and
full foliage to be quite attractive.

Is anyone growing or know of an enthusiastic bloomer that is particularly
fragrant and healthy?
