Hello everyone,
I never post, because I only have one rose, I have no clue what it is
and it usually gives me no problems. But I need your help now.
I have to start off this letter saying that I don't really know why I
love to garden, bugs and I are not a good combination!
I was dead heading my rose and smelling the wonderful blooms, when what
did I notice as my nose was inches away from a flower, but a bug. I was
totally grossed out (ok, you can tell I grew up in the 80's!), it was
the ugliest bug I have ever seen. It is less than a 1/2 inch long, a
light greenish brown color with a stripe down its back. The ugly things
are burring themselves into the open flowers and some of the were piled
on top of each other. I don't know what they were doing to the flowers
if anything. I'm sure I'm being too vague to make this easy, but does
anyone have a clue as to what these bugs are and how do I get rid of
them.
I do have another problem with this rose, a lot of the buds are not
opening. They are dyeing. This rose gets 5-6 buds in a clump, one
opens and the rest get kind'a turn brown and don't open. I'm sure that
if all of the buds would've opened, it would've stopped traffic.
I think this is all of my problems. Carleen, this is the one that I
gave you, are you having any of these problems?
Michelle
