Re: first bloom

i am so very excited. For a few days now i have been waching a bud of my
Peace plump up, show signs of colour and drop it's calyx.
Tonight when I got home I went outside and it has indeed started to open
and emit it's fabulous fragrance. i was thrilled to bits but suddenly
became aware of a stronger scent to my right and discovered a fully oprn
melliferous magnificent bloom that was hidden under some ivy against the
wall of the house. What a treat.
Well I did cut it and it is now sitting next to me in a vase with some
lovely greenery as well as reddery (my flowering plum foliage goes so
elegantly with it!)
Lucky lucky me!!!
