That's not very friendly of them. :-)

With my Constance Spry I did cut some canes (some did so naturally) 2,3, and
4 feet tall so that they would flower from head to toe, which seems to be
working very well. She sends out lots of canes, so I will do this again
next year. Wonder if that would work for ya?

This is my first blooming year with my Souv.dl Malmaison, so I was counting.
I'm also recording the blooming times of all my roses, plus descriptions of
what I like, what I don't like.

Don't like the fading color of 'Russell's Cottage Rose', 'Belle de Crecy' or
an unknown near my doorway. They all fade to that washed out
mauvish-purple. I do love the old roses- 'Fantin-Latour', 'Mme.William
Paul', 'Belle Isis' (cute little bloom) 'Duchesse de Montebello', the
English roses- 'St.Swithun', 'Redoute', 'Graham Thomas', 'Wife of Bath', the
rugosa- 'Topaz Jewell' and 'Hansa' all for their shrub and blooms. 'Striped
Moss' is still small but I love it's cute little striped cream and burgandy
bloom.

I didn't count all my blooms, but my one found rose "Red Yankton" I did
count 120 blooms with 2-3 buds for each bloom, and I have been dead-heading
for nearly 2 weeks. :-)

I don't have that. I know it's a modern hedge rose and has small blooms.
