Re: Tooo quiet!

I don't have very many roses, and the ones I do have are the old
fashion kind. One is a pink running rose that a friend gave to me back
in the late 1960's, haven't a clue as to what the name is, or
anything about it, but I have rooted numerious cutting from this one
and given to friends and family. the other one is a purple, that I
relocated from my husbands grandparents old home place. (the house is
over 100 years old) to my home. it is very fragrant, blooms in the
spring. Could be what they used to refer to as "The Seven Sisters"
beautiful old rose. They seem to do very well all by themselves.

I ordered a new one for this season, because I thought it was very,
very pretty. It is named Sally Holmes
I'd like to say up front, what I know about roses you could stuff into
a thimble, advice is what I need. I realize that roses are heavy
feeders. What kind of fetilizer should I use on the Sally Holmes and is
one kind good for all ?
