Hi Donna,
Old roses are my favorite kind. I too have rescued some of the old ones and
try to identify them. Fun.
I gave my young 'Sally Holmes' to my mother, after I dragged it around my
garden three times from spring to fall. It never missed a beat and kept on
blooming. I'm sure this one will survive on anything. But...
There are a lot of good rose fertilizers on the market. I prefer to grow
mine organic and use compost in the spring and monthly feedings of fish
emulsion until late summer. I'm very pleased with it.
