Re: HT on own roots


Thankyou Amy for your response. I assume that the reason that grafted HT's
are bigger is due to the more massive root system that the shoot is
grafted onto. I assume that this "rooty" system forces the canes, and you
get thicker canes earlier on, and this promotes sales. Naturally I don't
mind a smaller start, or a longer childhood. However I have heard that own
root HT's just never really do very well. I'd like to give it a try,
because nothing quite equals the bloom on a hybrid tea, in form, and
