I love my Hansa, it's a wonderful bloomer with yummy fragrance. You
mention an entrance ! This is a very thorny rose and can get to be a
6-8 foot mound. Hansa can tend to be rather leggy and open, more so
than other roses. Blanc Double de Coubert is my favorite rugosa, a
pretty, smaller white rose with a lovely fragrance. Therese Bugnet is
also nice with less thorns, my mother's has very long canes. Rugosas
are excellent plant and go roses.
Sincerely,
~Carleen~
