I grow roses because I love them but one I want to find is an antique
rose which my Grandmother grew in Popple River, Wisconsin. It had a
million stickers to the inch(!) and was an everblooming blueish pink
rose that Grandma called a cabbage rose. I believe it came from Germany
with her mother. It was hardy through the very cold winters and did not
seem to get alot of diseases in the humid summers. It smelled great.
She grew Sweet Williams around the bush.
