Re: Cut roses wilting quickly...

Hello,

I thought I might add a few things I learned in floral class... Warm water
is best for the plants... 110 degrees if you can get it that warm. Also, it
is best to wire the roses. The roses head is the heaviest part of the
flower and the stem right underneath will give way at the first sign of
wilting. But if you wire them the wire will help brace the flower head on
the stem and allow a much longer bloom life. I have noticed this with roses
my husband has sent me. One florist wires them and another one does not...
the roses that are wired last much, much longer.
