What climber did you plant near along your house, Julie? Rose canes
that don't need to replace your ''climbing stock" you can cut at 8-24
inches giving you blooms at the ''bare ends" of the base. Clematis
are also a nice disquise though. What color of Clematis did you put
with your rose?
I just added a clematis (one my friend had ''extra starts'' of and
forgot what it was called) to my Constance Spry (just now has buds)
on a large arbor in my rose garden. This climbing rose is light to
medium pink with yellow stamens and blooms beautifully for 2 months.
The clematis, which was blooming at her house is purplish-blue with a
cream-colored cupped center. So the clematis will bloom first then my
rose later.
What other things do folks have growing with their climbing roses?
Sincerely,
~Carleen~
