Re: [Rose-list] Pruning Experiment

Well, let's see, The house is white!! Thank Goodness. I have put in a
dark gray deck and pergola. I have planted Wisteria around the pergola
and one climbing rose at the front.
Jacob's Coat... pink, orangey and white. It doesn't seem to be doing
much. It will be interesting to see what it does this summer. The First
Prize is away from that, and for some reason, I thought it was a paler
pink than what the photo shows. Truly, I haven't had it long enough to
know what it will really look like. I can put the clematis anywhere, I'm
not worried about that. I would just like to have this huge growth
overhanging on the trellis and do something at the base to cover it.
Perhaps I should plant some shrubs in front and have this gigantic rose
thing hanging over the top?
I live in Zone 5, so I am limited on my semi-evergreens.
If you come up with something, I would love it! It sounds like you
enjoy solving problems.
It is raining like crazy ..
Best regards,
Julie in Utah
