Hi back Carleen and Susan..
Was talking to sis this morning (she's in Leavenworth WA and its Mai-Fest
weekend and VERY cold, not much in flower I'm afraid)
Sis said "You silly old lady..when I sent you the Old Rose Advisor, it
was followed by a shipment of bare root roses, including Reine des
Violettes,Cecile Brunner and one other that I can't remember".
Sure enough, I have 6 old roses in my long perennial bed, hiding amongst
the Peace and Mr Lincoln.
The Violettes was absolutely lovely last summer..I fell in love with the
scent and the precious shape of this rose.
So I have Old Roses and didn't even know it!
I'd love to meet you and Susan at St. Paul when you go..just let me know
when.
Meanwhile I got another sweet flower for Mothers Day today..slightly off
topic I'm afraid, but my children gave me a dark eyed white ferret (I
already have 5 ferrets, and 3 of them are my 'flower children',
Daphne,[another dark eyed white girl] Daisy[ a yellow/cinnamon girl] and
Shy Violet.[so named for her personality..she is always hiding and very
shy].
I haven't found a Rosie yet!
