ROTFL.... How do the hours slip by like that! it's just weeds.. :-)
Your gardening sounds wonderful. Lots of variety and places to stop
and pause. Squirrels are so darling, but ekkk...expensive water
plants and fish.
I'm not sure about clematis, but I suspect Alba roses won't care
for the evening sunlight reflecting heat off your brick wall and fish
pond. The iris might do fine there.
Wow... so Tradescant is a big rose? I've been looking for a nice
dark red rose. I have William Shakespeare and it gets terrible
blackspot. Mother just gave me L.D Braitwaite, so I'm not sure about
him yet. I don't think either is quite as dark Tradescant (least in
the catalog).
I would love to have the climbing burgandy-velvet rose Susan has
Dr. _________... oh dear, what was the name of that rose of yours
Susan ? I can't find it even in Beales book... Is it that rare?
Now I must have it.. :-)
Sincerely,
~Carleen~
