I would not choose morning sun as first choice. Probably mid-late day shade
would be better. But if you remember where mine was, it gets almost no
shade now since I removed a tree. But another tree is growing in its place.
It definitely affects the color with not enough shade, but too much slows
down bloom and growth. In a perfect world I would choose to shield it from
mid-day sun.
