Hi Patti,

We had gophers too and I think we're finally rid of them.  What seemed to
work is smoke bombs and a bottle of hot sauce.  We tried the smoke bombs
several times and sucess came when my husband finally found the main
chamber.  You can buy the smoke bombs (I think that's what they're called)
at hardware stores.  Don't give up--just keep harassing them!  Another thing
we did was stomp down newly dug dirt to hopefully close their air holes.
This is war!
