One of your nice people sent me an e-mail, suggesting I bring up
edible ideas with roses for my program. (Thanks, L)
Sounded like a topic to me.
Would be fun to hear about creative uses with roses.
Sharing recipes would be great fun.
My last batch of Rose Hip Jelly just wouldn't set, even after calling
the Certa 1-800 number and trying it again. Ended up with a strong
syrup. These were Dog Rose hips, in a patch of the forest that
husband keeps chemical free for me. I didn't harvest till January.
Would that have made the difference ? They were still very firm and
nice.
Have a lot of rose buds out here that aren't likely to open this
late. Any ideas for using them in the kitchen ? Or perhaps I could
use them in crafts ?
Love the side advantages of an Organic Gardening.
Sincerely,
