Carleen, Thank you for the web page with the story and picture of the Lady
Banksia rose. I have just planted one this year and it truly is growing
famously. I purchased it at the end of the season so have not seen it
bloom. It is planted to cover a lattice frame that hides my water pump
area. After looking at the pictures on the web it will probably cover the
whole pump area. This is good as I hate looking at the big old pump. You
don't think it will damage anything will it?? Guess I will have to prop it
with a sturdy structure of some kind???
About Don Juan. I planted a don Juan climber to shade my lath house and it
was full of rust. I had not seen this particular fungus before on any of my
roses and do not like it being around. I have discarded the rose to prevent
spreading.
Hi Wendy.
Lorraine, in the Sacramento valley, where we just had a wind storm that
tore down half of the lattice where Lady Banksia was planted. Woe is me.
