Nice photo, lovely flower.

It's on my list of "must haves" for next Spring. My favorite this year was
Jacques Cartier. This was it's first year and the thing looked awful for
the longest time. I was getting ready to yank and relocate it when it took
off, surpassing everything near it. Good performer, excellent fragrance
and a beautiful, large flower. My only Portland rose so far; will get more
as they're hardy to zone 4. This rose also has great "shrub"
characteristics. And, I never saw blackspot on it!

BTW, calling a rose "my favorite" is a relative term. You'll hear me say
that a lot, to the point of contradiction.

I'll be contributing to the blackspot topic as I get more organized. I'm
getting picky about what I'll tolerate for the sake of a bloom. With over
a hundred bushes, and 30-40 in the works, I need as few problems as
possible.
