The September 1992 issue of The American Rose included an article about
the baking soda formula developed at Cornell University.
Here's the recipe as published there: 3 teaspoons of sodium or potassium
bicarbonate plus 2.5 tablespoons of Safer Sunspray ultrafine spray oil.
The article says, "Bicarbonates eliminated the fungi but a mixture of the
bicarbonate plus oil was more effective than either agent alone. The
spreader-sticker properties of the oil were responsible for this improved
performance."
