RE: Re: Thinking about what to order for next year...

I wonder if you in zone 5 could get some feedback from Heirloom from other
customers who have tried Autumn Sunset and Westerland that live in zone 5?

Hi,

Joanie, I am in zone 5 but have not had any experience with either
Autumn Sunset or Westerland. I have not had any real problems here due
to frost with any of my roses. That is, in zone 5, I do not know for
sure about at this particular location. The ones I transplanted last
fall, before I moved here, have done very well. I did have all of them
on the south and west sides of the house. I have some on the north side
of the house now so will see how that location treats them. Most of
those are miniatures though. I do have about 5 newer roses in there.

The rose list does seem to have gotten a jump start again. I suspect it
will slow down for a while when we do our fall bulb planting and clean
up. I am more productive on my computer in winter. I had to have my
iris list put on hold for the summer as it was too active for me to keep
up with everything. I will soon be signing back on again.

I was thinking about Autumn Sunset too so I will be waiting to see what
is said about it by others in our climate.

Patti
