RE: (no subject)

I'm in 6b and all I do is sink them in the ground, just like they are
planted. The pot lip CANNOT be above ground level or various reasons. You
could put a little mulch on top if you like, slowly removing it as it warms
up next spring.

Hi! I'm new to this distribution list. I just wanted to say hi and say
what a relief it
is that I'm not the only rosaholic around! My husband was starting to
worry about me each
time I salivated at the word "rose"! Now I know there's a support group for
me out here!!

So far, in my tiny yard, I have 16 miniature roses, 2 David Austin roses,
one Hybrid Tea,
one Floribunda, an explorer rose and a shrub rose. Next year, I'll have
lots of David
Austins in containers, as I can't let lack of ground space deter me from
having MORE,
MORE!!!

Does anyone have any tips regarding wintering potted roses? I live in
Kelowna, BC (zone 5).

Have a rosy day!

-Colette
