Hi Carleen,
Ah, Ranier, and the pretty little fire hydrants. When
my kids were small they always tried to name
them as we drove through town. Guess the paint jobs
went out of vogue.
Thanks for the support on the "root' thing. I actually
am not a gardener at all but do really like nice big
roses as has my Dad's family for ages. Must be the
Irish. I guess this particular rose needs to go with
me.
Do I just dig down and tear off some of the stalk with
the roots attached? If so, how much stalk do I need?
Does it have to extend up to leaves (which is a number
of feet in this case)? This rose has mostly 7 leaf
clusters with 5 leaf clusters at end of each twig.
What do you do with the sheep? Hope they don't eat
your roses.
