Exactly... they are hardy and disease resistant, but not the prettiest
"legs" to look at. :-P

I have this rose too... wonderful fragrance and the first to bloom in my
garden and still tossing out blooms. Nice.

I've only bought roses from Heirloom here in Oregon, but I'm sure she can be
found, she's not a rare rose. Alba's can handle cold very well, I'm not
sure how much heat she can take. I wonder how tall she would get for you.
Stand back! :-)

You betcha... Hopefully they will take fine. Yes, I love 'Paul Recault' as
well... blooms that last SOOO long.

Don't know what to tell ya... I've not grown or bought a Hybrid Tea rose in
over 5 years. Had over 50 at my old place and just watched their numbers
dwendle each year. Some from winter loss, some because I had it with them
and gave them the boot.

Some of the Modern shrub roses (like Austins) I'm not that impressed with
either... still have troubles with a nice shrub form on many of them... I do
love my old roses.

Hum... my favorite bloomer this year would be.... 'Louise Odier' a repeat
old Bourbon rose. It took her a while to "settle in" but she's a beaut this
year. Still not the BEST of form, but lovely blooms and certainly a pretty
thing over all.
