I know I am mixing up the senders but will respond to both at the same
time. :-)

I have both Skyrocket and Marjorie Fair myself. Marjorie is identical
to Ballerina but with red flowers. It is often called Red Ballerina.
Skyrocket is also called Wilhelm and sends stems straight up then leans
due to the weight of the canes and flowers. The flowers are supposed to
be red but are usually pinker in the heat. The clusters are huge,
sometimes 50 mid sized flowers all bunched together on the end of the
cane.

Marjory Fair - Harkness, 1978, modern shrub. Wilhelm, Skyrocket,
Kordes, 1944, hybrid musk.

I have an Erfurt and just love it. The blossoms are gorgeous and good
size. I bought mine from Hortico in Canada last year but have since
seen it in a local nursery. It even made it through our 111 degrees
week before last!! You can find the Hortico website at:

I think in your zone Erfurt would probably do very well.

Maybe something like mahogany to pick up the reds in the new rose growth
and the reds in the flowers. Pink looks fabulous with mahogany. I
would avoid blues and browns.
