The silver spots sound like powdery mildew. You can spray baking soda to
prevent this-- 3 Tablespoons baking soda and a teeny bit of dishwashing
liquid (to help it stick to the leaves) to a gallon of water. It will
also help with black spot if done regularly. Both diseases will be helped
if the plants have plenty of sunshine and air circulation.
I don't know which beetles you have, but I have beetles about that size
on mine and they go in between the petals and eat holes. They are
greenish yellow with black spots-- the spotted cucumber beetle (they
don't eat just cukes!). Mostly I just squash them when I find them.
