I'm in USDA zone 6 in southwestern Ontario. I am lucky
enough to pick up the miniature roses at Home Depot.
I've scarlet, pink, white climber, coral with yellow
blush and yellow. They never have a name tag on them.
The yellow I've bought 3 times and they just don't do
well at all even when I mulch them. The others I've
had some of them for as long as 10 years. The beauty
of buying them is they are originally small in the
pots and come 3 in a pot. I then plant them
individuallly into the garden and the next year they
are really big. They still need to be pruned like
regular roses, but they continually rebloom if the old
blooms are pinched off...I still have the coral and
the red minis and the mini white climber blooming.
They will bloom until frost. Home Depot where you live
must have them too.
