Hi everyone--
I hadn't heard this rumor about chemical alteration to produce (temporary)
variegates, and hadn't even
considered it. Do you think it really happens? Oh, the subterfuge of it all!
Yeah, I DO resent paying the big bucks for variegated plants that won't
reproduce (which was the
point of my call to Madalyn). I'm relieved to know that Grigsby's has some
of the best clones. If that's the nature of the beast, I guess I'll just have
to be patient.
The first (normal) pup on my plant is mature, so I'm going to cut it off. The
second is still growing, so I'll give it some time to see if any variegation
develops. Does anybody know how long this might take? Or should the
variegation be present from the start?
Regards,
Kirk
