I, for one, am just interested in learning more about Sansevierias. If
it takes two lists to accomplish that, so be it. Best regards to
whomever takes on the task of being the new listowner.
And, BTW, my S. grandis is quite new, and therefore pretty small. Its
leaves are elliptical in shape, approx. 5 cm x 15 cm , and banded
similar to S. trifasciata, only not so distinctly. Leaf margins are
white and red-brown.
I have a S. thyrsiflora (which is supposed to be the same thing as S.
grandis, I think), that is only a little more mature. It has darker
green leaves, much more subtly marked--mottled rather than banded--and
much longer: 6 cm x 60 cm. I just recently got it from a grower with a
rather minimalist approach to care, i.e., no soil, no water, and no
nutrients--it was making its way across a piece of damp plywood in a
neglected greenhouse when I found it, so may not be looking its best at
this point.
Don't know if this info if useful or not, but it's all I've got.
Carolyn
