well, it never looked as if it came easily. you were always off somewhere
clinging to a rock and taking notes, when you weren't studying dried
specimens in a remote herbarium. NOT that i was anything but envious.
may years ago Horst Pfennig said his wife did not enjoy days in the field,
collecting and cleaning plants...how did I feel about this? and i said, I
thought it would be great! but i never thought it would be easy.
Most people who have knowledge perceive it as insufficient, i
think because they know how much there is yet unlearned.
The only thing i feel i really know about is dogs.
