Mine just have a substantial number on each leaf, and they are
white-variegated...
I found that those cost several thousand dollars each.

hmmm. the sansevieria? yes, it is and the appearance of these things on the
leaf is a sometime thing, but even without them the plants looks "bent"
which is why i noticed it in HOME DEPOT, where i look at every plant! I
have not tried a leaf cutting, in fact, it is breaking out of a post, and
may need a spring devision.
these are on the outside or undersite of the leaf.
