Various

I have read with interest all the recent exchanges in the group. I am a
regular lurker, but unfortunately time does not permit me to be a regular
contributor, what with the nursery and another job.

We thought about restarting the Sansevieria Journal, but really we do not
have time to do it properly. In England we have a Sansevieria Robin, which
is quite successful, and the idea of a newsletter is a good one, although
do not underestimate the work involved.

We, at Brookside Nursery, are ready to do whatever we can to help, such as
occasional articles, reference to the National Collection of Sansevierias
here. We also take credit cards if that would be any help for collecting
money. Tony Mace is only a few miles away, should you wish to use his
services for the web site or printing.

I was sorry to read the comments flying back and forth between Norma and
Steve, both of whom do such fine work for Sansevierias, as well as many
other plants. Live and let live. We all have different ways of working, and
some of us have less time than others. Yes, let's try to be accurate with
names, spelling, etc. but always remember it's a hobby, and in any case the
Sansevierias really want sorting out by a botanist, as so little serious
work has been published, and there is bound to be some confusion on names
and identities.

We had Summer here last week for a few days. Now back to the usual rain.S.
'Mason Congo' and S.schweinfurthii are flowering for us for the first time.

Best regards to all,
Alan Butler
