I think it could be seen both ways, Juan, I do not think you are
"wrong". What i think is we all have horrible days and express ourselves
in ways which, on a better day, might be much more nicely said. Also, I
notice, not only in Sansevierias, but in Bamboos, a group in which we are
deeply entrenched, the same sort of things go on, the workers, the
volunteers are treated like rented mules occasionally. I have no
explanation for this, and I hope somebody kills me BEFORE i am guilty of
this, but...some people are abrasive, and the chances are it will either go
away, or the abrasive people will be beaten to a pulp by an angry mob.
sort of spontaneously.
I fume with disgust about 3 times a week on a list devoted to opera. the NY
TI\imes opera reviewer was thrown off this list for espousing a critical
attitude of a singer different than the list owner. I have been flamed for
being allegedly "unable to understand the works of homosexual composers,
and have, therefore, no right to comment on them" !!!!! (WHO KNEW? WHO CARES?)
And i am a veteran of many list wars. a failed peacemaker.
So as a person who fumes on a regular basis, i say I hope we can let this
ride. unless NORMA is bent out of shape, and says otherwise about letting
it ride.
I do not think Juan has failed to make a most pungent statement of his
feelings, which should, one would expect, put a damper on further naughty
and ungrateful statements.
